Magician, speaker, creative consultant - Michael Mode has been performing professionally since the age of twelve. Though known for his skills in magic, his creative talents escape classification. Michael continues to win the respect of audiences across the globe. Applying his unique collection of expert creative techniques, he has broken the mold of the stereotypical magician and earned new respect for the art.

A Detroit native, Michael sparked an interest in magic when he inherited a magic set from his older brother. Though the instructions were missing, he developed his own methods and presentations for performing the tricks.

While other kids delivered papers and cut lawns, Michael performed at popular clubs and restaurants in the Detroit Metro area. Performing professionally at age twelve, he quickly built an extensive magic repertoire and developed his own comedic style.

Throughout his teens, Michael's recognition and audience grew with his talent: national magic convention awards for Best Original Act, Fortune 500 corporate parties, and, at nineteen, the opening act for John Mellencamp with an audience of 20,000.

While in college, he took a year off performing to learn about one of his key influences, Walt Disney. Michael was invited to join the Disney College program in Orlando, Florida where he earned a degree from Disney University.

Michael's creative contributions are performed on stage and television around the world by the top names in magic. In 1999, Michael went on a three-week tour of China where his creations were performed live before ten thousand people and broadcast to an audience of 200 million viewers.

In 2000, Michael coordinated David Copperfield's interactive magic billboard in Times Square. He also toured with David and received an invitation into the 'Magic Lab', Copperfield's elite creative group. To date, only four magicians in the world have had the privilege.

Recently Michael was contracted to design magic and special effects for a multi-million dollar US Air Force touring show, 'Tops In Blue'. In addition to design and creative development, he was brought to Lackland Airforce Base in San Antonio to train the cast.

Today, Michael performs magic and conducts seminars for companies around the world. As a magician, he amazes and entertains. As a speaker, he teaches creative problem-solving techniques and enlightens audiences with life's possibilities.
